Saint Patrick’s Anglican Mission is an Anglo-Catholic community of the Missionary Society of Saint John the Evangelist (MSJ). Born out of a deeply Benedictine spirituality, St. Patrick’s exists to serve the city of Maricopa through prayer and service.
St. Patrick’s is canonically resident in the Missionary Society of St. John the Evangelist, within the jurisdiction of the Anglican Church in North America, under the episcopal authority of the Right Rev. Albero Morales OSB and immediate authority of the MSJ Father General, The Very Rev. Fr. Bob Lemmon.
St. Patrick is the chosen patron of our Mission and represents the very best of the evangelical spirit we desire to embody. As Catholic Christians, we cherish the intercessions of St. Patrick and ask for his blessing on our work as a community. Together we pattern our lives after his, seeking as a community to live lives of prayer and service. This is accomplished by worshipping weekly together; opening up our homes and spending time in fellowship; serving in the community together; and simply being faithful citizens in Maricopa in the promotion of truth, goodness, and beauty.
Postulant Jonah M. Saller, MSJ is the founding minister at St. Patrick’s. Set to be ordained to the Sacred Order of Deacons in the Spring of 2025, Jonah is licensed by Fr. Bob to lead morning prayer and serve Holy Communion from the reserved sacrament. He is also licensed within the Reformed Episcopal Church, holds an undergraduate degree in biblical studies, and works as a classical school teacher. He lives in Maricopa, AZ with his wife of five years, Megan.
The Very Rev. Fr. Bob Lemmon, MSJ is the Father General of the Missionary Society of St. John the Evangelist (MSJ). He earned his B. A. at Mt. Vernon Nazarene University (1991) and his M. Div. at Asbury Theological Seminary (1995). He has served as pastor of Christ the King since its founding in 2000. He and his wife, Mary are blessed to have lived in Casey County since 1997, where they home-school their children. As Father General, he oversees the ministries, organization, and rule of the missionary society.
The Right Rev. Alberto Morales, OSB, DD is the Ninth Bishop of the Diocese of Quincy and serves as the Episcopal Protector of the Missionary Society of St. John the Evangelist (MSJ). After the Diocese of Quincy joined the Anglican Church in North America (ACNA) in 2009, the diocese voted Alberto their next bishop, and he was enthroned in 2010. With a deep passion for building the Kingdom of God, the bishop loves helping start new congregations. We are all missionaries and Bp. Morales is constantly reminding laity and clergy alike of that shared role.
